About our products

Got a question about our dog cages, here are some of our most frequently asked questions about them.

No special fitment, it is just a case of lifting it into your vehicle; if you require them, we also have a range of anchorage straps that can be found in detail on our accessory page. All our cages have integral anchorage points built into them.

This is a difficult one as it depends very much on the size of your dogs, and as we all know individual breeds vary quite dramatically in size! The length of your regular journeys and what you, and they, are comfortable with should also be considered. As a quick guide check the gallery pictures for each cage and you will see various breeds to give you a better idea of the size. If you’re still unsure then give us a call and we will give you honest and impartial advice.

Weights of each dog box are shown clearly on the website. They are awkward rather than heavy due to their bulky shape; in most cases double cages can be lifted by one person, but depending on ability a second person may be required!

Despite claims made by other manufacturers about the lightness of their products, interestingly only a few show the weights on their websites; perhaps they are just not as light as they would have you believe?

According to one competitor the answer is yes. But ask any one of our 40,000 customers globally and they will tell you a quite different story. We have cages in daily use in the most worlds challenging environments - from Dubai to Iceland, California USA to the Fen’s of Lincolnshire.

Our cages have full sized mesh doors and large ventilation panels all around which help with airflow; additional air circulation can be obtained by fitting one of our Airflow fans.

The ambient temperature inside the vehicle is what determines the temperature inside your cage, whether made from aluminium, white fibreglass, black plastic or another material; so if the inside of your vehicle is warm, or hot, that’s what your dog will be experiencing also.

Most fortunately, with modern vehicles it is easy to control internal temperatures; air conditioning, climate control and privacy glass all play a valid part - as does common sense. Remember sadly DOGS DIE IN HOT CARS irrespective of cage manufacturer.

We can supply replacement keys, but only if you know your key original number as we have used over 40 different key combinations over the years. If not we can supply replacement locks from stock.

*The key number is engraved on the face of all locks/cages manufactured since 2015.

Do not panic – help is a phone call away! We are happy to advertise your existing TransK9 cage on our website Used page, the only criteria for this is you that are purchasing a replacement from us and have paid a deposit.

This page works very well, and as all TransK9 models have an excellent residual value, we are confident you will be incredibly happy with the return!

Our simple to use Find Your Car option on the website will guide you directly to the options we have for your vehicle. Enlarge and browse through the gallery pictures to view the standard features of each cage, you’ll also see the recommended cage/s with dogs in which will help you to visualise the size of the cage in relation to your own dog.

Providing the item is in stock we normally deliver within 5-10 working days. We will contact you to arrange delivery.
We are unable to deliver on Saturdays or Sundays.

Yes, the carriers will not leave goods without a signature and it is your responsibility to check the items for any damage before signing carrier’s delivery note.

If damage is found phone us immediately with the driver present. Note the damage on your delivery note, take pictures and refuse delivery.

Due to Covid restrictions it may be that the driver will leave the goods for you to check and unpack when he has left.

You may return your purchase and cancel your order with us at any time during the first 14 days from delivery as we comply fully with the 2014 distance selling act. Returns are subject to compliance of this act and Terms & Conditions within. There may be a £25 restocking charge.

All cages sold for domestic use are covered by our 10-year structural warranty. For full details please see our terms and conditions.

All TransK9 accessories are covered by our own 12 months warranty, items covered inc. Bumper Mats, Anchorage Straps, Ratchet Straps, Travel Bowls & Vet Bed. The warranty covers product failure, not failure due to chewing or product damage or mis-use. Warranty items should be returned to TransK9 for replacement or repair. The cost of returning any warranty items unless otherwise agreed will be paid by the customer.
